3 weeks to get married in Philippines

    Hi,

I'm going to Philippines next month for 3 weeks and planning to marry my girlfriend. I want to make sure this is actually possible.

    I've read through this thread

    http://filipinaroses.com/showthread....CNI-March-2014

and it looks like CNI no longer required, I just need to fill in the affirmation here

    https://www.gov.uk/government/upload..._June_2014.pdf

So I need to make an appointment here and bring my affirmation with me. Does anyone have an affirmation template I can use?

    https://britishembassymanila.clickbo...hembassymanila

I also need to bring my original passport and original birth certificate. Is there anything else?

Once we have the appointment at the embassy, can we then marry straight away?

We were going to wait and marry in UK but that would mean applying for fiance visa and then marriage visa so have both agreed this way makes more sense.

    Thanks for help

Thanks a lot. How do I actually type on that though? I don't have any software for editing a PDF. Is it acceptable to retype it all myself If I assure the format matches?

Does anyone have any information on whether it's possible to do this in 3 weeks? E.g. if we go to Manila straight away and get this first bit sorted, how quickly can we get married? What administrative tasks will we have during / after the marriage, if any?

Once I'm back in UK, I need to ensure we have all the correct documents to go ahead with the spouse visa application.

    Thanks

You will need to apply for a marriage licence at the local office where you will marry and this normally take ten working days to process.
