Labour go even better with an aristocrat for Shadow Minister
The Honourable Tristram Julian William Hunt - privately educated at University College School in Hampstead London followed as one would expect by Trinity College Cambridge
I wonder what Joe & Andy's steer is on this one
Where is Joe ?
Someones put a bit of spin on producing your pic Graham - Maidstone Grammar is a state school the guys previous one Bedford Modern is private. Achimota School is in Ghana maybe they don't have state schools there but Sam ticks the minority inclusion box for me

I have personally little problem with them being privately educated, as long as this makes them the best person for the job.
I'd much rather have someone from an expensive school doing the job of running the country, looking after our finances and protection.......and knowing what the hell they are doing, than some sort of social inclusion policy, getting someone in from a bog standard comprehensive, and the duffer not having a clue what to do.
What I do strongly object to are ......s like Diane Abbot and Harriet Harman publicly criticising public schools, being in a party which hates the hothouses which are grammar schools..................then sending THEIR kids to such places whilst vilifying the rest of us who might wish to aspire to do this.

Cameron the moron was privately educated. He wants to put restrictions on Russia but still wants to sell them arms.
That's today's up to date news.

The world is full of hypocrisy.
Cameron doesn't have exclusive rights to it.
Only currently 250 licences for British arms exports to Russia.

Andy - perhaps you should start a new thread where it belongs on restrictions and arms sales to Russia.
This thread is about politicians and private education. I'd appreciate your informed opinion on the Labour stance re private education where they publicly oppose it but have senior MP's sending their kids to private school and a privately educated toff is Shadow Minister. More than a whiff of hypocrisy
Keep any response related to the topic please

Oh Ded's on the defensive again! Why have a new thread? Do you disagree that Cameron was privately educated?

No he's a toff who went to Eton - he doesn't make any attempt to conceal it.
Do you disagree that Harriet Harman was privately educated ?
I'm surprised you don't hate them Andy as most Labour MPs are wealthy middle class.........Revealed: Ed Miliband's Bollinger bolsheviks
Despite the class-war rhetoric, Labour’s elite is still intensely comfortable with being filthy rich — and it’s becoming ever more so
http://www.spectator.co.uk/spectator...list-climbing/
I suggested a new thread because seemingly you wanted to pursue arms sales and Russia
