Wishing you all the best! We know the stress and concerns of getting it right. You will be fine. Just double & triple check all your documents and details you type in when you apply for the visa on line. We checked ours so many times!
God bless you

Didn't realise that they need to include my girl's payslips as well? Why do they need those? At the moment, my girl is not working, as she is focusing on her IELTS exam and I am supporting her.
Would this be ok?
The other thing is - do all of these documents need to be original copies, or can I simply email the soft copy across to Levin in Manila to print and include in the application?
Thanks

You do not need to put in her payslips, she could be a millionaire for all it matters. They are only interested in you (the sponsor) They need to know you earn enough to support her.
I am sending all originals... You can always make copies to keep for yourself should you need them

Hello,
Quick question. We're trying to book my appointment now, but I just realized that on the "Visa Sub Type" there's "Wife" option. Does it really matter? As on the application I submitted, I chose "Civil Partnership". Can I just make another application? Or is the first one ok?

Do I need to submit the SU form or is a letter from the Landlord/Estate Agency enough?

Copy of lease would be good to send them. They want to see your sponsor has a place for both of you to live.

Civil Partnership is for the same sex. Choose "Wife" because you are a wife.

I'm so thankful for finding this forum!!!!
As the UKVI websites aren't really that user-friendly & the layout, it looks like the design is created by a trainee (I'll volunteer to change it for them!) Hehe.

No payslips needed only the bank statements (to show remittance, if you send any to your gf)..or any other form of support ie trans cash.
Documents needed to be originals and photocopies.
Send the documents via secured deliveries (we use DHL about £38)

Hi Sweet_Maza,
Strictly speaking, unless the rules state otherwise, you should submit originals not copies.

With regards to the online application, I created another application with "Wife" Visa Sub-Type. But I was not advised about the Appendix 2. Where can I get it? Is it online or I need to print it? Thank youI am seeking, I am thriving, I am in it with all my heart. - Vincent van Gogh

Is the "Appendix 2" just applicable for those applications not created online and used the VAF4A form?
Is it the same as Appendix FM-SE?I am seeking, I am thriving, I am in it with all my heart. - Vincent van Gogh

Requests for 'checklists' are a regular subject here.
To be honest, it can be both timeconsuming and tricky to really get to grips with what's important and relevant for your application and what isn't going to add benefit to the application.
One of the problems with 'checklists' is that they can cause undue stress if you don't have everything that's listed or if you want to include something and it isn't listed.
The applicant and sponsor need to discuss and agree just what they feel is right for them and their circumstances.
It's hard to make informed judgements when your life is being put into an application form and a bundle of supporting documentary evidence.
The tendency is to include everything just in case.
Consulting a 'one-size-fits-all' checklist and just ticking the boxes for each document doesn't cut it though.
It's not the document itself that's important, rather it's what the document says.
In principle your application is personal to you. The supporting evidential documents that are important to you may not be at all relevant or appropriate
for others.
Ideally a checklist should be used as a simple guide to help bring ideas and clarity for the applicants personal document list.
As UKVI statesThe submission of all or any of these documents does not guarantee that your application will be successful.
Include documents to prove that you meet the eligibility requirements - read the guide to supporting documents for examples.
Read also the guidance on the Financial Requirementwhen you apply.
Be sure to take time to read Guide to supporting documents: settlement
