My fiance Sheina just messaged me to say all the jeepneys have gone on strike today.

Jeepney fares gone up to 10 peso. Gasoline has gone up by 2 peso and vegetables and rice too.

Everyone isn't happy.

What was the cost of a Jeepney fare before? I thought it was about 10 peso.

If people can afford a car there, then I don't think an extra 2 peso a litre on gasoline will stop the rice being eaten 3 times a day.

Jeepney basic fare has gone up from 8 pesos to 10.

It depends how far you travel.
