Question Getting ready to submit paperwork...anything missing from my list?

    Hi there,

I'm just gathering all my paperwork together, to send to my wife.

Just wanna make sure I have not missed anything. (I've done an extra month of everything)

Personal details filled in and confirmed online.

    Appendix 2 Financial requirement form
    2 x jobs 7 months payslips

    Last 2 years' P60s
Letters/contracts confirming I work both jobs.

Tenancy agreement and letter from my landlord confirming address I live at.

7 months' bank statements x 2 banks showing monthly salary.

    My divorce papers
Certified copy of my passport photo page + color copies of all stamped pages.
    Birth Cert

My wife has copies of the marriage cert, church + NSO.
She has passport her birth certs
    TB cert.

Just waiting on English Test cert
pics of wedding + pics of us over the years + pics with family etc.
    random conversations from instant messaging,
confirmation of payment of visa fees (when I have paid it)

Anything i need to add or is missing?

    Cheers

    Dave

It's hard to make informed judgements when your life is being put into an application form and a bundle of supporting documentary evidence. There's a strong tendency is to include everything 'just in case.'

It's not the document itself that's important, rather it's what the document says.

In principle your application is personal to you.
The supporting evidential documents that are important to you may not be at all relevant or appropriate for others.

The best starting point is to review the UKVI webpage indicating Documents you need to provide

    You’ll need to provide:-
    - Applicants current passport (incl any previous passports)
    - 2 passport sized-colour photographs (See UKVI Passport photo requirements)
    - copy of sponsor's passport bio page
    - proof of Knowledge of English (unless you're exempt)
    - Tuberculosis (TB) pre-screening certificate
    - proof of your relationship to the person you’re joining
    - proof you can meet the financial requirement or maintenance requirement
    - proof of adequate accommodation
    - documents to prove that you meet the eligibility requirements - read the guide to supporting documents for examples.

I'd suggest reviewing the guidance on the Financial Requirement when you apply.

Also take time to review Guide to supporting documents: settlement

Looks like you've got it covered....but it really does depend on what the documentary evidence says.

Sincere best of luck with the application

Looks good, but just double check as per Terpe's listing and hope your wife is successful with her application. Good luck to both of you!

Not that I ever went to University ... but the more I look at the present *requirements for Settlement Visas, the more I'm convinced applicants would almost need a university education to deal with 'em *all these days.

    OR ...

... perhaps it's just me getting old!
