Thanks Terpe. So what has happened is that TOEIC is no longer suitable and IELTS is acceptable for spouse visa for listening and reading?

    (TOEIC and TOEFL tests suspended)

    Updated 13 February 2014
The Home Office has instructed the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to suspend its TOEIC and TOEFL testing in the UK due to potential concerns regarding fraud. The Home Office has also suspended processing student immigration applications in the UK that include Educational Testing Service qualifications, while it investigates.

    Updates on TOEFL test

    Updated 19 May 2014
The Home Office suspended the use of TOEFL for visa purposes back in February, and a further announcment was made since then.TOEFL cannot be accepted as a test of English for the visa purposes, unless the test was taken on or before 17 April, outside the UK.TOEFL tests taken after this date, and those which have been taken in the UK, will not be accepted.)

IELTS is one of the UKBA approved English test.
