"Tombstone Tom"
was the nickname for an workmate of mine who kept a black tie in the bottom drawer of his desk ... perchance the "wee manny with the BIG scythe" - aka the 'Grim Reaper' - should choose to pay an unexpected "visitation" on any one of his many colleagues.
Funnily enough this bloke's name actually was Tom! ... honestly it was! And having had occasion to attend yet another 'send off' at noon today, reminded me of him.
Incidentally, Keith ... this time I did go to the right funeral. Even the recently deceased herself managed to turn up ... in spite of having suffered from Alzheimers.
