    Smile ILR financial requirements

    Hello

My wife lives with me on a spouse VISA and we are on the 2 year route for applying for ILR.

This year however my P60 showed £18567.00 which is short of the required £18600 by £33.

My wife however works x2 part time jobs and one of her P60's shows over £3000+

Will they take into account both incomes?

Does she need to be in the same job for past six months from date of application?

If she starts a new job within less that 6 months of the application will this be considered?

    Thanks for your time.

Hello Isaac, welcome aboard Filipino UK

Given that your wife is on a 2 year immigration journey towards ILR there's no Financial Requirement to meet other than provision of 'adequate maintenance'. So there's no need to be concerned at all on financials.

The reason is because your wife will be reviewed by UKVI under the 'old rules' since her visa application was originally submitted prior to 9 July 2012 and she remains subject to the rules in force prior to that date.

She will however be subject to the need for passing the Life in UK Test and to the new (October 2013) English Language requirements for a passing grade of English Language at B1 level.

    Hello Terpe and thank you!

That is very useful information I was wondering why the SET(M) application form does not seem to make any mention of this £18600 just asks for my income and hers after tax (not gross)

She has already done and passed the B1 English but still to get that horrible Life in UK Test.

    Thank you!
