Hello Steve. You know...circumstances, etc, etc. It was on the back of my mind, just needed a bit more poking (from the husband). And then I realized that in a few years time I won't be able to afford it... £906 when I apply. Does it go up every year? When I received my ILR it only cost £250...

Hello and welcome to Filipino UK

Good to see you're finally on the road to becoming a British Citizen

Probably a good decision as it's not going to get any easier or cheaper

Hi Terpe, thanks. I don't know, I seem to always learn the hard way, lol. I just hope the process won't take so long. I'll keep you posted with a timeline. Probably start application end of April, all going well

It's been a long road indeed. I'm sure it's worth it in the end. Hope you fill that kitty soon!

Hi Stevie Yeah, good luck to both of us. I'm not really looking forward to the test, as it's a long one (IELTS). I should have chosen the Trinity way. Story of my life... What test is she taking, if you don't mind me asking?

and congratulations on passing the 'Life In The UK Test'.
"No mean feat" ... well done!

"No rest" yet, eh? Still, I'm sure you'll agree all the hard work will have been worth it in terms of the advantages to be derived from becoming a naturalised British Citizen.

Meanwhile, all the best with the final hurdle - your B1 - in two weeks' time.
