I've been spending more on my car these past few weeks..much more than what it's worth...Thing is, it'll cost me loads more to replace it. Like you Steve, my car's treated me well, been a good servant over the years. I'm attached to it.

Nice result in my opinion Steve.

At least all is done........I'd rather spend that on a loved and trusty car than put towards a unknown and untrustworthy car....

    Happy motoring..

Mine is booked in for service & MOT on Tuesday 18th Feb. The MOT expires 15th March.

Fingers crossed for 13 month cert.

It just developed a funny noise at the offside rear wheel.......oh dear

Probably a wheel bearing, anyway you lot stop moaning! I have to have two taxi/mot compliance tests per year and my insurance is over £1000, my 4 winter tyres alone cost nearly £600

My next test due 5th march and always nerve wracking coz if it fails technically I'm unemployed too

I used to run a taxi in the 80s. .well, I footed the costs, I didn't drive it. An ill thought out venture if ever there was one. Reliable drivers were few and far back then

I've spent a few days 'bookmarking' a few potential replacement cars on ebay despite really bonding with my lovely Merc over the years.

He shown me this corsa for under £600 a full year mot took in part exchanged too, just makes you wonder if its worth the worry of trying to get yours through a mot
