More of the same here in Davao City.
Clear blue sky until around 4pm then turned cloudy and cooler with rain showers.
    Sometimes quite heavy.

Always warm rain though. Makes all the difference

Very breezy cold and dry, hopefully it will stay dry so that I can cut the grass today!

Didn't I suggest sending over a good petrol lawn mower?
    Oops..Sorry.
You can get them here for about 200 Quid.
Petrol strimmer`s are around 18k but they don't seem to last long..we are on our 4th and the crank shaft and piston have just gone!! Only a year old. Grrr!
The lawn mower that we had sent from the UK is still going strong though, 4 years later.

I had a lovely petrol lawn mower fitted with a sweet Briggs & Stratton engine.

To be honest I don't want to mow a lawn.
My lawn mowing says are gone.
Thinking how nice a concrete area would be. Useful too.

Cheap enough to have a local go over it with his strimmer.

My girl uses scissors to cut the lawns...even though they do have a lawn mower.

A lot of foreigners employ a local to cut the lawn with scissors, seems the most popular way to keep the grass well maintained in the Philippines!

Having resorted to this practice myself on the odd occasion, it IS feasible ... albeit - in terms of the amount of time it takes - it's hardly a shortcut!

Rained all day yesterday in sunny Rossendale. But today, sun's out, nice fresh morning, no frost - could be a good day

    More of the same here.
Warm sunshine from blue sky in the morning and early afternoon followed by warm showers early evening.

Doubt it's going to change much over the week.

Found another wonderful Halo Halo over at SM Lanang
Bit pricey at P99 but very tasty.

No snow here yet in Corby, but when it comes the missus wants me to write "Brian loves Dora" in the snow. It turns her on apparently. She must think we,re stupid teenagers all over again, lol!

We arrived in Southern Spain this morning, me thinking "yes, we have escaped the snow", only for Rose to say "aw, we're missing the snow". I told her the winter hasn't got started properly yet and there will be plenty more (I've just fitted winter tyres to her car so I want to play anyway ).

Been working tonight in light snow - the winter tyres are worth it. Tried skidding but no luck, lol

Snow shovelling shortly, may do the whole cul-de-sac, keep me busy for a couple of hours, it would be nice if one of my neighbours will join me but I don't suppose anyone will, the one who would have given me a hand is in South Africa for the Christmas season, shame!

I used to fit snow tyres to my car and it made a huge difference.
Large pwerful engines with automatic transmission don't make good partners with snow and ice.
I could almost anything with snow tyres. Got a set from Costco years ago for less than £100

The trouble with modern day cars is the trend for low profile wide tyres. Compare a modern day Range Rover to a proper Land Rover and the Land Rover will go up a snow covered mountain with no worries, whereas the Range Rover is more at home doing a school run
Yes, I do own a Range Rover

My (various) little Morris 1000s were the best cars in snow.

Skinny wheels to cut through the snow, light weight, good ground clearance, low torque low power engine. Starting handle !

    Next best...the 'proper' MIni.
