    Well, they ARE supposed to be taken in by the first country they come across, aren't they....and I very much doubt that will have been Australia ?

    Upsetting the UN again, but at least they are doing what's best for the country. They allow a lot of immigration, but it's skilled rather than the unskilled that the UK is getting.

    Another good reason why we got Australian Permanent Residency and plan to move there in the not so distant future. Will make a change from the sandpit.

    A good move Ricky - my mate's been there about 22 years and done very well for himself. Abbott is his MP and he often used to have a chat with him jogging on the seafront - he likes to think he helped form some of the common sense immigration policy
