Which marriage certificate for Spouse Visa application?
Hi,
We're getting married tomorrow.
When we apply for our Spouse visa, which copy of the marriage certificate do we need to submit to the British Embassy?
This is what we have been told by Makati City Hall:
1. The certified true copy of the marriage certificate (the white one) from Makati City Hall - available 7 days after the ceremony?
2. The SECPA, from Makati City Hall (the blue one) - available 7 days after the ceremony. As we understand, this is the same document as the final certified NSO copy, but not on yellow paper and lacking a signature!
4. The final NSO certified copy from Quezon NSO (the yellow one).
This is either available 6 months to 1 year after the ceremony, or..
We can apply for this at Makati City Hall after 7 weeks, then wait a further 3 weeks for it to be issued at Quezon NSO. This is the "Transmittal"
So, we're confused as to which one(s) are accepted by the British Embassy and therefore how long we have to wait before we can apply.
A solid, factual answer would be great.
Thanks.
