A cautionary tale....
I wonder how this worked out ?
.
A British man told of his dramatic escape from the Philippines with his girlfriend and baby daughter after the couple were threatened with seven years in prison for adultery.
David Scott, 36, is now in Thailand and is petitioning the British government to let the whole family come to the UK.
However, he has been told that because his Filipina girlfriend was still married when their daughter was born, the child is not legally his. ........

At least they won't have the expense of going back to The Philippines for their future annual holidays
This is a story every guy should read before embarking on a Fil/Brit relationship...everything isn't always as it seems behind those smiling faces
I tend to think it mostly is, even though I've been unlucky....I shall be having another punt at a later date

Yes, it's a small world According to my first filipina wife, they are bussom buddies. The woman in question apparently past on info to filipina wife #1 who then 'kindly' told me.
This brought a hasty demise to my relationship with my wife and mother of my babies...I can't understand why there isn't a law against malicious gossip
Folks told sensitive stuff should keep their mouths shut
Still, life goes on.

Just shows how my blinkin senility is kicking in.
Interesting looking back at the old posts though....and how I was the same self-righteous then as I am now.

Sorry but to me seems like the typical case of a desperate poor girl trying to emigrate using a citizen from a *well enough country*.
In fact all the details given by the show made me guess that she got pregnant to trap the guy.
What I do know that *some girls *use these old techniques to trap gringos, especially in Cuba ,and Southamerica..
I'm south american girl married to an European, and it never crossed my mind to leave my country and even less to use somebody else or to have a child to procure a better life.
Maybe adultery shouldn't be a crime, but certainly it is a moral offence ,moreover these people must have been aware of the laws of that country ,especially her ; as for the guy what else can I say : Just the classic naive gringo providing an easy fix for some unscrupulous people.
Well known end ...according to the girl she would never leave her kids,,,but at the end she does exactly that, just the expected attitude of the easy fix ,,who gives a damn I'm better off in Uk !!!.[QUOTE]southabroad
At least she's honest and tells it as it is....I know I could never leave my kids behind, whatever the reasoning
Beats working at Citibank for £350 a month
A rep for Jake for bringing this back up again...for the life of me, I don't know why the thread was closed...unless it was to protect their pals

It's true that some guys are just too trusting, and think their newly-found sweetheart is all sweetness and light. There are some big cultural and 'circumstances' differences to take into account though.
Nobody is perfect and we probably all have some skeletons in the cupboard. It's just whether we decide to accept a person or not...warts and all.
My ex lied from the start and continues to do so even up to the present day.
Having said that, the majority of our time together (12 years), was pretty good.
