What visa do i require?
Hi,
I am about to submit a Fiancée visa application for my Fiancée to come to the UK.
If this is rejected I am considering moving to the Philippines.
Can anyone advise me as to the visa requirements and if the visa is easy to get?
I live in Northern Ireland and therefore I hold both a British and an Irish passport.
Many thanks.

Hi there Crazymeister, welcome aboard Filipino UK
As a very first step please read this thread and follow all the included links to the UKBA site.
All New Guide - How to apply for a Fiance Visa
Also read this and again follow the links - Applying for a UK visa in the Philippines
The UKBA advises all applicants to read their application Guidance Notes together with their Supporting Documents Guidance
You can search here in the forum for any areas/topic of concern or you can ask as many questions as you need right here in your thread.
Oh, and please be sure your Fiancee also fully understand what is needed. This has to be a real team effort for you both.
There's a lot of things to understand.
Take this journey step-by-step, don't be shy to ask as many questions as you want.
There's plenty of folks here who have been down the same road and made that journey. Everyone here is friendly and willing to share experiences, and to make sure to get that special visa.
Some early steps that can be achieved right now (or for you both to consider) is your fiancee being able to meet the English language requirement
Additionally there is a now a requirement for TB Screening before she can submit the application.
Here's the needed detail - Tuberculosis testing in the Philippines
Happy reading...

Concerning your questions regarding living in the Philippines, well that's quite a big ask to combine within this thread.
May I kindly suggest you start a new thread on that subject.
In principle I would say to anyone considering that path not to even consider a 'lock stock and barrel' move without spending time there and getting under the skin of life in a new and different country, culture and language.
Making that kind of move is complicated and expensive enough without a realisation, once done, that it was all a mistake.
Please do start a new thread on the subject of moving to the Philippines just to maintain clarity on the help needed and avoid information confusions.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies guys.
Regarding the requirements for her Fiancée visa, I believe we meet all the requirements. I earn enough money although I don't have any savings. Is this a problem?
Thanks again.
