Joes local University has just indentified that The White Gypsy or Irish Traveller group has particularly poor health.
Both men and women have twice the White British rates
of limiting long-term illness, and at each age they are the
group most likely to be ill. http://www.ethnicity.ac.uk/census/Co...s-Briefing.pdf
No doubt your socialist senior management will be giving them priority treatment

I've been there twice, i don't care what they earn, no one can say they don't earn their wage unlike many people
well cameron's bullingdon mates got a 10% tax cut, so who's belt are we talking about

No way I've never had to strike over money but I'd strike for a month to protect my pension
I feel sorry for a Police Sergeant mate of mine who's just had his pension terms changed. He says he'll have to work an extra 4 years to get the equivalent pension he was on before.

There are 2.52 million unemployed, how many of those are actually looking for work is unknown, but there are 503,000 job vacancies according to the latest statistics. The highest since 2008

It's matching the right people to the right jobs that is the hard part (and the most remunerative, which is probably why the country is overflowing with recruitment agency parasites )....setting aside those who have no intention of working.

My mates school foolishly took on a 25 year old as Head of Chemistry starting this term on £50k plus 12 weeks holiday - 6 weeks on she's been found to be incapable of teaching A Level Chemistry. Can't sack her though so she's "teaching" BTEC Science - nice work if you can get it

Agreed !
I couldn't have survived without nurses and lab technicians
Seriously, I should abstain from this discussion, now that I'm retired and, through changed personal circumstances, had to tighten my own belt ( no car, rented accommodation ).
Also on a serious note, I respect many other friends and relatives whose work is nothing to do with healthcare. That includes Forum members .

I had to leave mainland UK to get a decent job paying decent wages.Every job interview I went to there was at least triple if not quadruple the number of Europeans to British applying for the job and to be honest they some of them were 4 times as qualified too!
It was an employees market only but a few years ago but now unfortunately employers can take their pick from a pool of many Europeans and british [QUOTE=gWaPito;465711]The British folks brown nose is talking is the ones yet to be shipped

The fact still remains that this government is hellbent in letting them in. There must be some logic in it somewhere. Maybe Ded can email his Theresa and tell us why?

Its the same everywhere as far as jobs are concerned. Its not what you know but who you know and wherever you go in the world its exactly the same.I know of many jobs that come up e.g civil government jobs, council jobs etc which are already filled before they are advertised. You gotta be in with the right bunch. It does not matter about qualifications by enlarge.Lots of companies would much rather use an agency these days so they have no obligation to pay for sickness, holidays and the like.If you actually look at Emplyment agencies there are up 100 fold plus from 10 years ago.

I'm afraid Andys selective memory conveniently forgets Labours estimates of 5 - 13000 Eastern Europeans coming in per year 2003 onwards - but it's OK we can pretend it didn't happen just like Labours former chums the city slickers and bankers in 2008. Thatcher - school milk, miners, Falklands that's different history of course and must never be forgotten

Why wouldn't I believe it, don't you
The figures come from the office of national statistics, an independent body

Please come back and prove me wrong, and therefore proving Labour to be a bunch of liars

I agree that it is always helpful to "know" the right people. Many employers deal with Employment Agencies these days because it's quicker to recruit temporary (to permanent) employees in this way and easier to "get rid" if the employee turn out to be unsuitable. In my experience, holiday pay is always factored into the hourly rate paid by the employer to the agency who then pay it to the employee.
