    Couldn't agree more Joe.

Leave the brainwashing out of the classroom.

I can't believe this rubbish is still being peddled in 2013.

Perhaps more could be taught about all the current conflicts around the world directly attributable to religious mumbo jumbo, thus demonstrating that religious teaching has less to do with diversity and tolerance, and more to do with INTOLERANCE, INEQUALITY, VIOLENCE,TERRORISM, AND WAR.

That's why we have to remove our shoes at the airport, as well as before entering the mosque.

Not sure what the curriculum on a whole is like in school these days but there should be more emphasis on teaching kids about life as an adult and moulding out a career for them once they leave school. And that includes everyone not just the intellectual pupils. One could argue that it's the parents job to teach kids about life but half of them don't know themselves.

Learning about the perils of drugs, debt, relationships, etc. and the importance of striving for a worthwhile career has to be more beneficial than being taught about Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat.

Very true Jamie...and of course the church doesn't have to have a monopoly on the teaching of high moral values anyway.
