Joe, unless you are a politician you've obviously missed your vocation in life.
It's quite simple really, firstly when was the NHS privatised?
Secondly when did I say there wasn't a problem which you've stated I did.
Simple questions, I'd appreciate a direct answer rather than answering with another question on my thoughts about privatisation.

i didn't say it was , yet, Andy did, maybe he made a mistake typing his post
but your if you think it is slowly not, years ago, the dept where my misses worked, they had to put a bid in to keep carrying out the service, and other private companies put bids in to , whats that if its not privatization ?
anyway, i could put 100's of links showing cuts, closures and privatization , find me one where it says its not
any way Sir, its been good to you, but i've got to get up at 4am to get to work , so i bid you goodnight

Frankly Joe, it's totally irrelevant what went on in 1983 (when I was doing very nicely thankyou).
History.
During their LAST 13 year spell in government the Labour party...or that stoopid name 'New Labour', had every opportunity to mould this country in whatever way they wished.
At the end of their reign of raiding the public purse and squandering taxpayers' money on wasteful and useless projects (true to form), as well as opening up our borders to every form of lowlife and human detritus, they left the country virtually bankrupt !
Enough is enough !
With that idiot leader of theirs in charge, they have NO chance of being re-elected, and thank goodness for that !

The truth is the Masses will follow like sheep and re-electe Labour, labour will borrow all over again and we will be ....ed.
The reason is no -one likes austerity measures and because the coalition have had to hand out the medicine they will be looked at as the bad boys and so the 'hey it was alight under labour' suckers will vote for them.
There are some clever people on this Forum but i tell you lots of people with shall we say lesser education will not work out why we have been in the cart for the last 6 years and falsely blame the nasty people making them pay for it now.
So short sighted

Camerons doing his best to inflate house prices even higher
According to Cameron there is no housing market bubble
The "Help to buy scheme" is ill thought out and will create even more house price inflation
House prices in London are up 8% on last year
A typical Tory vote winning exercise with an election just around the corner
These clowns will employ any tactics just to win a few more votes

Totally agree.
It's more 'social' and lower-priced housing that is needed...for the RIGHT people to live in.
I'm sure many of us have benefitted from rising house prices over the years, but I don't think relying on increasing property values as a form of 'income' and credit has done this country any favours over the past 40+ years.

In easy to explain beardy, beer drinking socialist terms, this is how it works:-
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to Ł100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this…
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing
The fifth would pay Ł1
The sixth would pay Ł3
The seventh would pay Ł7
The eighth would pay Ł12
The ninth would pay Ł18
The tenth man (the richest) would pay Ł59
So, that’s what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve ball.
“Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by Ł20″. Drinks for the ten men would now cost just Ł80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men ? How could they divide the Ł20 windfall so that everyone would get his fair share?
The bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by a higher percentage the poorer he was, to follow the principle of the tax system they had been using, and he proceeded to work out the amounts he suggested that each should now pay.
And so the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% saving).
The sixth now paid Ł2 instead of Ł3 (33% saving).
The seventh now paid Ł5 instead of Ł7 (28% saving).
The eighth now paid Ł9 instead of Ł12 (25% saving).
The ninth now paid Ł14 instead of Ł18 (22% saving).
The tenth now paid Ł49 instead of Ł59 (16% saving).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But, once outside the bar, the men began to compare their savings.
“I only got a pound out of the Ł20 saving,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,”but he got Ł10!”
“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a pound too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more benefit than me!”
“That’s true!” shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get Ł10 back, when I got only Ł2? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison, “we didn’t get anything at all. This new tax system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks so the nine sat down and had their beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and government ministers, is how our tax system works. The people who already pay the highest taxes will naturally get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas, where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

you've (someone has) posted that before, the Tories said cutting tax for the rich brings more money back to the gov because they spend it well why not do it for everyone then
Cameron said People with “the broadest shoulders should contribute the most”,
if you don't like the rate of tax your paying, why not swap your wage with a shelf stacker

The only difference is that the poor can't avoid it.
See if you work for Starbucks or Google or Amazon you have it deducted at source (PAYE). Whilst they then employ accountants to make sure they don't pay any tax on the fruits of your hard labour.
I think Mr Google, Starbucks or Amazon was Man number 10 in Simons little story. So in my opinion deserved the kicking he got from the others

Hold the front page, news just in.................if you can be bothered to get a job you will have to pay tax on your earnings.
Other news in today................. tax payers friend is horrified to find out that he has to pay something towards the house he thought he was entitled to for free.
On a brighter note, it has been revealed today that if you get a job, pay taxes, save up and buy a house of your own, then you can avoid these scandalous price increases by having a fixed rate mortgage.
