Much better that everyone is earning the same for the same job.
They know the score Marco...these new guys are ex agency whom had worked for us for years. The money they are on now is much better than what they were on before..without the worry of no work after Christmas and of course paid holidays and sick leave..all of which they didn't have before.

Our terms and conditions are cast iron, we can't be touched...the only way they could of got around it, would be to close the depot just like they did in other parts of the UK. That loophole has now been closed

We are a dying breed, not many of us left Marco...most of our drivers on these terms (less than 30 of us out of a total of 500 plus employees) are in their late 50s to 60s. Hardly worth closing a depot for.

It's quite the opposite where I am, the depot is expanding hence taking on new drivers and warehousing staff.
