    The high street store, called the Oldest Sweet Shop, has been selling sweets in the market town of Pateley Bridge since 1827.

    NO!!!

    HOWEVER...my former fiancee was from that (beautiful) little town, and I know the shop well.
    There is a chance that I may still have some humbugs left in a bag that I bought there in 1979, as I do like to make things last.

    Can you still take soft drink bottles back and swap them for sweets? Probably not
