Please take a look at the requirements here in the Philippine Embassy's website http://philembassy-uk.org/consular-matters/passport. The application can be downloaded in that site too. Just click the "Download Forms" link and choose the one for e-Passport.

Hi
Just need to highlight what Terpe has stated.
Not sure if your wife has sat for her test as I have not read this thread in its entirety. If she has yet to sit for her LIUK test, DO NOT forget to bring your marriage cert so as to confirm on the name change (should there be any), plus a proof of address.
I neglected to bring my marriage cert the 1st time and was rejected for the test. Had to book another one and the 2nd time around, I brought my whole file of paperwork!
I sat for the test on 12 October and I must say it is so much easier that all the simulation tests I did online. Your wife will be fine. Good luck.
Check out this link. It uses the same format as the LIUK test. Cost £29.00 to register. Left a testimony on the site too. I am Serena.

Good luck with it Brian
It's a bit of a minefield but in this last week my wife did her LIUK & B1 and we are in the immigration office next month for the ILR.
It's all a rip off but it has to be done so think positive and read the book with your Mahal so you can help her.

thanks for the comments,.but book, what book is that? and Immigration office? , I hope we don't have to attend any immigration office, coz they are usually in England.and we are not.

Hi Brian
The easy bit was booking and doing the LIUK.
The hard part was getting the B1 which is done in the familiar speaking and listening scenario.
ESOL is another way to do this too. There are lots of links Terpe has provided for those.
We are doing a PEO appointment which means we want to visit and get it sorted in a day, rather than sending off both passports and potentially waiting a few months for them back.
You can do the ILR by post - you don't have to visit.

Seems my wife has to do an ESOL course at a college before she can take the English Language Test, and from what I can see theres only one place she can do the course in Belfast,( Belfast metropolitan College)& its not cheap, coz ive been looking online and I cant find any where else she can do it,plenty of courses in England but not here.

thanks for that Michael P. Yes Sars Notd. I found That place,we called in yesterday but the lowest level they do is b2, I think my wife will find it difficult enough passing b1,they said maybe PET would be better for her though she'd have to travel to Dublin to do that one,i think i'm going to put her in for IELTS in December and see how it goes from there.
