    Question HELP...ESOL CEFR English exam ( RECENT ) for residency visa details???

    hi ya!

    Is there anyone from here in the forum who just recently took an English exam as part of their residency visa application?????
    Just wondering how much it is and how many days would it take to get one?
    Would be specially nice if you are also from Northern Ireland,UK thanks a lot !!!!!

    As far as I know the exam fee is £110 which includes registration, exam, certificate sent by 1st class post at Trinity College in London.

    I advise you to ring your local college there in NI for more information about the English Test you are going to take.

    thanks Novs! but the problem is everytime I search for it its like a 1 whole year course that we should take? unlike in Phil's when I took my English exam it took me 1day only for my TOEIC in HOPKINS....

    You can do IELTS for £135, 4-5 weeks of review at home or enrol at your local college then take the test when your confident enough to take it. Result of the test will be 13-14 days.

    As far as I know it is up to you also with the assessment of your instructor if you are already ready to take the ESOL exam if you chose to go with it so I dont think 5 years for you is necessary unless you are a beginner which obviously your not.

    Like I said give your college a ring as they can provide more infos for you, by the time they start speaking to you they will know right away what level you are on English Language.
