Changing job during a visa application
Hi,
My fiancée has applied for the spouse visa and we are still awaiting a decision from the commission for nearly a month now. They say it can take up to 90 days. The question I want to ask is, would it harm the application if I was to hand in my resignation and apply for another job? I currently have a 3 month notice period. The new job I want to apply for is still way above the threshold in terms of annual salary as is required in the visa application.
Has anyone else done anything similar or have any advice?
Thanks,
Bij

The application is submitted based on historical data and evidence. The visa decision is based solely on that up to the date of application submission, not on future predictions or events.
Hope that cllarifies for you.
By the way your fiancée has applied (or at least should have applied) for a fiancée visa not a spouse visa.
