Wow missed this one. Congrats on the news there, definitely a good move if anyone can afford - and that is the key, not only affording but having a grand plan for the future.

Wish I lived somewhere as bike friendly as York, but around these parts - you're either fit to drop at the top of a hill or breaking mach one going down one

    Haha...thanks mate.

    Tell me about it.
When I was 13 we moved from Pontefract up to Richmond in the Dales.

I took my bike with me, but I was the only one in the school who had one in Richmond...with all those hills.

Small world Graham . When I was 15 I stayed with friends in East Layton and cycled the 10 miles or so to Richmond - no lycra gear in those days !

Last week I learned what a MAMIL was - Middle Aged Male In Lycra
I'm happy to say I now enjoy cycling as an OMWOL - Older Male Without Lycra

Good luck with your cycling !

I loved it at Richmond Alan...still do, and I sometimes attend the annual 'old boys' re-union.

I have the full lycra gear for my cycling, but that's one photo I'm NOT going to post on here.

Men in lycra = giving new meaning to "spot the ball contest"

Careful 'placement' is important, to avoid chafing.

Bloody hell Graham! I have enough telling my Lycra wearing male cyclist next door it's not a good look
    Yorkshiremen don't wear lycra
