what are the requirements in processing dependents visa (from previous marriage)

    Hello everyone,

I have posted this in 2011
    http://filipinaroses.com/showthread....ge)?highlight=

Just recently my fiance and I got married here in the Philippines and now eyeing July to submit all our docs under spouse visa and 1 dependent.

After a year Im back with the same question, to what to prepare in processing my sons visa. Has the rules been changed recently?

At the moment this is what my list is,
    1) My sons NSO birth certificate
    2) 2 photographs
    3) application form
    4) payment fee
    5) certification from the church
    6) certification from the pedia
    7) certification from the school
    8) letter from my husband indicating sponsorship and support for my son
    9) sponsorship undertaking
    10) letter of abandonment (notarized)

My ex has not been in contact with us since 2008 thats why we are opting for letter of abandonment than letter of permission will there be any problem with this?

Also, another problem is I was living abroad from 2006 to 2009 living the care of my son to my parents. Does this mean I dont have sole responsibility of my son?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    -Julie

Also, does your son already have a passport?
Is the surname on that passport same as yours?

if you've lived with him since 2009 i don't think you will have a problem with 'sole responsibility'

thank you joe bloggs, does that mean we can prepare letter of abandonment with the help of an atty, rather than the letter of permission?

when you say ''ex''.....have you been married or just living together with the father of your child??
sorry this is the first time I read about ''letter of abandonment'' from the biological father???... is it legal document ?? what it says in the document?? who will sign it?? will it be notarzed by the lawyer??
and with regards to ''permission'' , if the whereabouts of the father is unknown how can you let him sign the consent to join you to apply for settlement??

hello yes I was married to the ex, and was annulled. I am now married to my British husband who is sponsoring us to go the UK.

The letter of abandonment is prepared by the atty, I am actually confused.
