U.K. Citizen marrying a Filipina - What visa can i get to live in the Philippines?
Hi all!
I'm new here and a British citizen intending to marry in the Philippines in September 2013.
Any advice on what documents are required and subsequent visas would be greatly appreciated.
Once married, do I require a visa to live in the Philippines?
We haven't decided weather to live in the Philippines or here in the U.K.
Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Before asking all the same questions as a million other people, use the search facility (top right) to narrow your questions down a bit. We can all help, but please do some reading first. You will find what you are looking for.

If you did decide to live in the R.P then it might be best to take your wife over to Hong kong or Thailand even only for a day or two.. When you both reenter the R.P,request a Balikbayan stamp.. This means that you can stay visa free for a year.. After that you can get ordinary tourist visas or simply take the Mrs somewhere else and request the one year visa free stamp again..
If you think you want to stay for a much longer term, then its a good idea to apply for a 13a resident visa..
Edit..
Just seen Steve`s post.. Yes do a site search..Lots more detailed info in other threads.

Hello Crazymeister, welcome to the forum
As Steve has said there's plenty of great information here and few searches will really help you.
As an initial help take a look at this recent thread here called The 1st step
Just for the basics take a look at this forum guide called All New Guide - How to apply for a Spouse/Partner Visa
Yes, of course you'll need to have valid visa. Again there's a lot of information here. It really all depends on you own individual view decisions and circumstances on how you
move forward with that
.
Everything from a Balikbayan Visa-free years to continuing regular visa extension scenario, to section 13a permanent visa or even the SRRV (Special Resident Retirees Visa)
Take a look at the website here Bureau of Immigration (BI) - Visa Requirements follow the links and enjoy your research.
Your review and research on the above topics, coupled with your own circumstances will give you some good direction indicators.
Good luck
