    Leaving tax

    Hi you guys. I just want to query something. I might be wrong but I dont know. I heard something about when your spouse gets her visa and is leaving manila international do they have to pay a leaving tax?

    Theres a departure tax (only applies to Filipinos) of about 1700 pesos and the airport Terminal fee of about 750 pesos. These figures might not be up to date.

    Ok lordna thanks for that. I thought it would be more expensive. The terminal fee in january was p550. But thats ok.

    Yes, travel tax (standard for all Filipinos leaving country) has been 1620 pesos for years now.

    They put the airport departure tax (which ALL travellers have to pay) up to p750 for a while, but then dropped it back down to the original p550.

    ive heard that u can show ure marriage contract then u may exempt from the travel tax..but still need to pay terminal fee..

    Yes, I seem to remember something like that (for Filipinos using their Filipino passport).

    It will all be on the Phils govt. website somewhere.

    yeah.. i think it is( for Filipino married to foreign national) so don't forget to bring the marriage certificate... save a bit of cash..

    When I left Manila Oct 2011, I was on fiancee visa that time.
    I paid 1,620-PHP for travel tax and 750-PHP terminal fee.
