    is my doctor wrong or is my works boss wrong

    came back from the phils on sunday but ive been feeling ill since friday, so ive been off work sick mon tue wed,
    my boss says that i have to have a doctors note because im absent from work straight after time off as holiday, she says its policy,
    the doctor says that im not a legal requirement, and i should self certify my self for the first week, but he gave me a note anyway, he wasnt happy, see note below

    misses just told me its after 7 days that docs give sick notes.
    upto 7 days you can do a self certified note

    All I know is in my job you can self certify for 7 days.

    I know because I had Bronchitis in October and was off for 2 weeks. First time I had been off sick in years.

    but the companies always doubt especially if a worker has just been on a long holiday then call off work because their sick.

    was there not a court ruling, if you was sick on holiday, you could claim them days holiday back from work.
