    Yes ... from my childhood in the 1950s, when he featured regularly on Children's Television as the "Hot Chestnut Man", in the ORIGINAL fortnightly series of ... ... 'Crackerjack', or some such. But then,I'm a decade older than you!

    I was thinking of "Animal Magic" Arthur....the others a little before my time, or we didnt have a TV then.

    Or, there again ... ... it MIGHT just as easily have been on 'Playbox' - ANOTHER kids' show (also hosted by Eamon Andrews) on alternate weeks.

    ... our second posts seem to've crossed. Nor did MY folks have a TV then either ... we were simply lucky enough to have been invited into a pal's home to watch kids' programmes in the early evenings.

    But you're RIGHT, 'Animal Magic' was presented by Johnny Morris during the 1970s, I believe.
