I bought some watches from Riverbanks in Marikina City. It's almost a ritual now. Average price P100. I always ask for a new battery.
I've had some great ones over the years.
One of those I bought this year was a Casio Protrek (almost) but the hour hand is now just fractionally out of sync and the barometer no longer works.
I paid P280 for that one. Keeps good time.

I like watches. Built up quite a collection over the years. Keep them all clean serviced and running.
Don't often wear one on a daily basis now though.

Wish I could get a real nice one like an Omega or something, but can't justify that kind of money on one! My friend has 4, but then he doesn't own his own place as he lives with his mum, so doesn't have the same kind of expense as I do.
This is my cheap Lorus one (same company as Seiko):

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

After 21 years of service with my company I was able to choose my gold watch.
In those days there was quite a good range to choose from.
The watches were presented to all those eligible at a nice venue after a dinner.
I just made it home in time from a trip I'd made to Milan. The flights were all delayed due to weather conditions at Heathrow.
Anyway, my own choice was an Omega Seamaster.
The back and bezel were solid 18k gold and the strap was 18k gold plated with titanium inlay.
The back was also appropriately inscibed.
I still have the watch in the original box. Actually only ever worn it a handful of times.
Just got it checked, serviced and cleaned locally for kings ransom
Even the back is inscribed I still reckon it's worth a packet.
Wish I could sell it sometimes, but just can't bring myself to do it.
Must take a look around and see where I put it.
BTW Steve, my old dad had a Bell & Ross watch
It's in rather poor condition, cracked glass and has no strap. Very old fashioned style with a black dial. Looks quite ordinary but worth around £300 as it stands.
