The wording is a bit loose - I wouldn't want to support anything that might make it easier for Indian Sub Continent arranged marriages

Exactly that Andy. UK Immigration policy doesn't distinguish between Filipina wives / fiancees on the one hand and Indian subcontinent wives / fiancees on the other. I don't see that it ever will unless the next government all have filipina wives / fiancees.
Interesting that Dedworth has abstained so not to increase the chances of immigration from the Indian subcontinent, as his is a potential name on the petition list that might help Filipina wives and fiancees in the future.
I have added mine to the list.

I can't see the 100,000 limit being reached solely by Filipina relationships alone sadly. We need all the signatures we can get and if that means ones involving the Indian subcontinent then so be it. Only 98,500 or so more to go!

I'll copy below what I posted on a previous petition thread - my comments apply just the same to this thread
This petition is a bit of a dead duck. You need to lobby your MP's and get them on side, don't just email them make an appointment to see them at their local surgery and work on friends and colleagues to do likewise for you. Try to get in the local papers and radio.
12 years ago I was involved in a bit of a local campaign and must have met my MP (now Secretary of State) 5 or 6 times in as many months - They are there to represent you
