    Almost there!

Today, I finally received that much-awaited brown envelope from the Home Office... stating my British citizenship application has been approved It was indeed a long, tedious journey. But it is all worth it. All thanks again to this forum, giving me some valuable information to finally complete this immigration journey.

    Here is my timeline:

Oct 8, 2012- went to Dudley Nationality Checking Service to pass my application, there they photocopied my passport, my husband's passport, LITUK test result, marriage certificate.

Oct 13, 2012 - money debited; acknowledgement letter's date (though I received the letter two weeks after)

Nov 14, 2012- citizenship approved (letter received today, Nov. 21)

    Date of Ceremony- TBC

Good luck to all of us, Filipinos, here in UK

    Congratulations

We will be submitting the application for my wife and my step-son soon. Good to see the process does not take too long.

Can you confirm the amount you paid as there was a thread here recently asking whether the ceremony fee was included?

    Hi rusty!

It doesn't say on my invitation letter from Home Office about the fees. I also checked on Birmingham register office' website for some info, and nothing indicated there, except for a private ceremony which costs £310. I'll update you if there's further info from them

Citizenship applications normally INCLUDE the ceremony fee.

Worth noting ... ... unless, of course, you opt to take the oath individually.

Hi Guys! Thank you very much.

I just did my oath taking ceremony today in Birmingham Register Office. Lasted for two hours. And, positive, there's no fee to paid. Camera's not allowed inside >_< So there's an option to pay their professional photographer.

    Cheers again guys!
