    ILR question

    Hi everyone my wife is applying for her ILR tommorrow & my question is if it is ok to blank out our account numbers & sort codes on our bank statements.... We did this on applying for her spouse visa in Manila but don't know if this would be acceptable for ILR here in the uk .... Has anyone who has applied for ILR done this many thanks stevie c

    We didn't do that Stevie. Maybe we should have.

    We didnt blank out our account numbers and sort codes, we submit it as it is but we informed our bank that there will be large amount coming out on the day of the submission of ILR.

    It's probably a good idea to blank out the numbers - looking at some of the people the UKBA see's fit to employ it wouldn't be long before your financial and personal details are used by a man in Lagos

    Thanks Ded you have confirmed my fears & worries but would this delay the ILR app is my other worry

    Sorry Stevie I wouldn't know about possible delays - my Mrs got hers iirc in 2007 she was here on a work permit and qualified on the then residency period.

    Would it be worth considering using the Settlement Checking Service ?

    we have just done our ILR and we did not block out any numbers steve,yes we did do this when we sent everything to the phils, but this time i thought it may be safe

    TBH you're probably more at risk from the shower of sh1t employed here than over the docs sent to the Phils

    Statistics indicate that UKBA processing of ILR that has been through the checking service is faster.
