visa application ref no

I applied for uk visit visa last sept.28 and the same night, i got a txt message from VFS ( since i paid for it ) with my visa application ref no and saying that my documents was forwarded to the British embassy.
After 5 days ( Oct. 3) i was advice that my visa is being assessed and since its their peak season it will take for the result.
Today ( Oct. 7 at 6.30pm ) I decided to track the reference number that they gave me and It says that its invalid :(
Does this mean I am denied?

Does someone has the same experience?
Hope I can hear from someone who has the knowledge

You must contact VFS and ask.
Usually they are very helpful.

Ang reference number ba na ginamit mo pag track eh yung nasa receipt mo?

Iba din kasi yun dun sa application reference number mo at dun sa reference number mo na nsa resibo mo.

Yes the reference number should be used to track your application is found in the receipt from the VFS.

just try it again may be you type a wrong reference number..I tried mine today an still it's on process at the British High Commission..

May I ask when is your application date?. Because I applied as family visitor last Septeber 26 and still now on British High Commission. And my sister is keep on asking me about the result. I'm planning to e mail the embassy, is it a good idea?
