    My wife has no recourse to public funds she is pregnant

    So when the baby is born will myself e able to claim for our baby my wife has been here 3 months now on here uk spouse visa
    I work in social care and by the time I pay rent there is very little left over so I really hope that I can claim for the baby
    Any information you can give us will be great

    Hi there yes you will not have a problem claiming for your child as long as one of you is a British National then there will be no problem as your child will be british also hope this helps...

    I believe you can claim child benefit, whilst your wife cant. .

    As others have said Patrick, you can claim Child Benefit in your name.
    You may also be eligible to claim working tax credits and child tax credits. But again be sure you are the named claiment.
