There's loads Steve. just google for them.

Local knowledge is good too though.

Always go and have a look before you commit to anything, is my advice.

Rents/Leases are usually open to negotiation too.

I would stay in a hotel for a while and have a good scout around where you fancy setting up home.

big tip steve send in your wife alone and take pictures if she likes the place because soon as you show your face $$$$$$$$$$ all of a sudden the lease price will sky rocket as you know .the philippino mentally would rather lose a potential renter than let a foreigner have it cheap .

And now for something completely different:-

    Click this link Indang Village

Here's what they answered to some of my questions about leasing:-

........... Philippine law does not allow freehold but you can lease the land up to 75 years. Most retirees however, requires sellers to give them the title & ( SPA ) Special Power of Attorney to sell the property on behalf of the owner during the term of the lease This means you can sell or pass it on at a new 75 years lease again or freehold to local buyer.

In answer to your other question, in the event one of the partner pass away, you can continue to live in the property during the remining years of the lease or resell the property. .
Not my cup of tea, but might be just perfect for others.

    Hahaha ! ...hilarious video.

    'Cool' climate. 'Typical English village'.

I admire their imaginative approach though.

Going to be expensive I'd have thought....and where were all the miserable Brits, red-faced and sweating...cursing about the locals and everything else they could think of to moan about ?

I'm thinking of roughing it in Angeles City again...
    .

    .

'The house is a big 4 bedroom house with 4 CRs, there is a big living room, a dining room and office as well in the main house. And outside is another building with pool bar, 2 more CRs, washing room, maid’s quarter, pool maintenance room, and central water heater room/tool room.

I am leaving Angeles for a while, so the new tenant would have to take over my possessions in the house here for a lump sum of P350,000 – this includes:

Cell Phone Signal Booster, Central Emergency Light System whole house and bar area, Stove with 4 gas burners with 1 electric burner and gas oven, Huge 2 door refrigerator with ice cube and water dispenser, Water pump for water/ice dispenser in the ref, Refrigerator with freezer for the bar, DVD and TV in the bar, Xbox in the bar, 3 Aircon units – 1 split and 2 wall units, 60+ Big potted plants, Stereo System for the bar, 2 Plastic Tables and 10 chairs, Large 2 door pizza oven, 5 Huge wooden custom made chairs for the poolbar, 2 wooden barstools for the poolbar, 9 Ceiling / wall fans, State of the art network setup to every corner of the house + whole house covered with WIFI, Bar decorations, 2 Bamboo beds with mattresses, 2 * 29" TVs, 2 Gas containers (11kgs), 2 sunbeds'.

    Rent....p35,000 a month.
