UK advises precautions in PHL monsoon, cyclone season
The monsoon season in the Philippines has drawn concern not only from local disaster management officials but also from foreign governments.
The United Kingdom advised its nationals to take safety precautions against cyclones Thursday, shortly before tropical storm "Butchoy" (Guchol) entered Philippine territory.

Quite interesting as last year I travelled out in June to get married and my wife left on October 1st. In each case, both my flights in and out and my wifes flight departing were concurrent with a typhoon. But our flights were largely unaffected. I think the timing was just about right in each case, but only just.
