At Manila airport is easy, go to the immigration queue, when you get to the front, tell them you want to extend, they tell you to go to the door on your left, and in there you ask for your visa, it takes about 20 minutes. Done, then go back to the immigration queue, and you're in.

Sorry Terpe, i must admit I only tried 2 search terms but couldn't find current info.
Phils embassy site seems to imply it's already in force, although I can't see a date. http://www.philembassy.se/consular-services/visa
However UK site still advises 21 days
Not trying to hijack the thread, just hoping the definitive answer will help the Op, and others, including me !!!
Cheers Dean

That link you posted is the one discussed in the other thread which was started by a guy in Sweden.
That is the link causing all the confusion. :
It was well known that a 30 day entry visa on arrival would apply to certain countries but no formal announcement of BI ratification has been seen anywhere else.
Nobody seems to know how come it got put on the Swedish site or even if Phils immigration are actually stamping passports with 30 days.
All of the travel sites I've seen are also confused and can find with no hard evidence.
I've spoken with 3 people who arrived in the Philippines during the past 2 weeks and two have 1 yr BB stamp the other (visiting his wife) had a 21 day stamp on June 1st.
Beats me. The other thread did show a message from the Phils Embassy in UK saying no formal announcement will be made just yet.
BTW I couldn't find any other overseas Phils Embassy that indicated this either.
A case of watch this space I guess.
We have a couple of members just recently left for Philippines maybe they can update us when they return.

Thanks for detailed explanation, sorry if I caused you to duplicate.
I'm hoping to go in November, so fingers crossed!
Best of luck to ScottyG
