Liverpool to Isle of Man Day 15

Amir Khan carries the Torch in the Bolton area and then it makes its way to Liverpool tomorrow.Through Lancashire and down the coast to Knotty Ash, made famous by Ken Dodd and his Diddy Men characters, via Aintree Racecourse to Liverpool, home of The Beatles, two top football clubs and once known for its wealth as the "Second City of Empire". Saturday it is flown from Liverpool to Castletown on the Isle of Man and should be passing our apartment. The torch arrives on the Isle of Man, famous for its tailless cats and TT motorcycle races. The torch hitches a ride on a bike, visits the capital Douglas and the Laxey Wheel, at 22m the tallest working waterwheel in the world. I think Mark Cavendish carries it for a bit.

"Tim Crookall MHK, Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure said: ‘The Isle of Man is extremely privileged to host the Torch Relay for a whole day on June 2.

‘The route and activities have been planned to ensure that the island takes full advantage of its moment to shine.

‘The island’s proud sporting, cultural and maritime heritage is represented in what I am sure will be a highlight of the entire Torch Relay. Coinciding with the first race of TT2012, it will be a busy and memorable day for the Isle of Man.’"

Then over to Northern Ireland. From Belfast's Harland and Wolff shipyard, where the ill-fated Titanic was built, the torch heads to the seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Stormont, before touring the spectacular coastline and ending the day at the seaside town of Portrush.

You obviously havent got the same channel 4 as us here, Graham......cos it aint on Channel 4 here. ...we are classed as North West for TV.

The boss is giving us the day off on wednesday and putting on a barbecue....we will watch the TT from the end of his road.

"The Olympic flame will be carried by TT motorcycle sidecar, a train and tram as the torch relay hits the Isle of Man.

It will be taken on a sidecar driven by three-time World Enduro Champion, David Knight, 34, who trained on the island from an early age.

The flame will be flown from Liverpool on British Airways plane 'The Firefly' landing at Ronaldsway Airport."

The tram passes beneath our window on the prom....[I]
