    Lets just get married!

As any one here loved their love so much that they would rather get married in filli and then wait for how ever long to finally get their love into the UK, even though you would be apart as a married couple for long spells until UK Spouse visa granted?

Me too, I married my mahal in April 2011, we now have a beautiful baby boy and are just starting the visa process.

If you love her and she loves you, it will work. BUT... you need 100% commitment and 100% honesty.

It works for us, so yes, do it.

    Yes, why not.

You can have a conventional marriage to someone- you get married, then go home together, or go on vacation - then go home together, open the presents, admire yet another toaster, and think you could start a shop selling tea towels.

Or you can have a slightly less conventional marriage where you marry her, and for various reasons, you can't be together immediately.

As long as you know it's not forever (being apart- not the marriage), then no biggie - go for it.

We did just that too. Got married in Phils in June 2011 and my wife arrived in the UK on Oct 1st 2011 on a spouse visa.

Only thing I would say is that during the in between time, while waiting for the visa, I did wonder if she might get the visa at all. But in hindsight it worked beautifully....

    Songz777,
By all means, give yourselves a chance to meet and start from there. It takes a lot of patience, understanding, commitment and honesty to get into a long distance relationships. As long there is no hindrance, love will conquer! Goodluck and hope you will have a great stay in the Phils.
    If there's a way, there's always a WILL.
