    Anyone lives in Huntingdon, Cambs?

Hello, can anyone tell me if there are any Filipino clubs or shops in Cambridgeshire?

    Thank you.

I believe there are quite a few.
Don't know any personally, but there are members here that can help you.

Anyway, at least I can say welcome here, and hope you will enjoy.

    Hi Irinas

My Filipina sister-in-law lives in Huntingdon and I live closeby in one of the villages. There is a shop in Mill Road, Cambridge called Chow Mee that sells Filipino, Thai and Chinese food products that is worth a visit - it's open 7 days a week.

There are lots of Filipinos in Huntingdon, especially nurses at the local Hinchingbrooke Hospital. My sister-in-law has just moved and there are three other filipino families in the same street so she will certainly feel more at home when she returns from seeing her family in Philippines.

Anyway, what brings you to Huntingdon? If you need further help about the area, drop me a personal message when you can, or post your email address here briefly and I will get in contact with you.

    Welcome to the Forum
    Rosie

    Thank you for your replies.

We are a small family and have a job that we would like to advertise to various communities, so that we can attract as many applicants as possible.

Ideally we would like for someone who can speak another language, other than English, so that they can teach it to our children. We don't mind which other language.

Hope you don't mind me posting here.

    Hi Irinas

Take a look in Culture Food and Recipes section for the forum, there is a thread at the top of the page listing Asian/ Filipino Food Suppliers. This should give you quite a lot of addresses of shops.

You could also consider advertising in the local newsagent’s shop window in Huntingdon or placing an advert in the local newspaper (Hunts Post).

    Good luck
    Rosie
