Ricky and Terpe, you are probably right, it's not that difficult when you know the answer, but I'll leave it a bit longer to see if anyone comes up with an interesting answer

Only a guess but is it that the letters after the first letter one spell the same forwards and backwards?

Got it. If you take the first letter and put it on the end it will spell the same forwards as it does backwards. So Banana = anana(B). Is that it? Theres a name for them isn't there?
