FLR M... are we allowed to go out of UK?
As what I understood, FLR M allows you to stay in the UK for 2 years and makes you legal to work. My friend mentioned about going back to Philippines after 6 months when she was granted with this visa. My question now is are we allowed to go out of UK with that kind of visa? What complications or hassles are we going to encounter when we go back to UK? Just worried about this though. Thanks

Yes, you can go in and out as many times as you like, but the periods spent out of the country are added on to your qualifying period, and I don't think it would be wise to stay away for more than a few weeks.
That's what happened with my ex anyway.
I would advise you to check the latest rules with UKBA though.

Correct, it was added to the time the ex needed for British nationality.
Sorry folks, it was late.

there is no set maximum number of days you have to be in the Uk to get ILR, but dont spend too long out of the uk thou, as the uk is suppose to be your home, but max of 3 months in any 1yr and you shouldn't have a problem getting ILR or cititzenship later on.
as when it comes to appyling for citizenship this applies
Residential requirements
In order to demonstrate the residential requirements for naturalisation you need to:

and have been present in the United Kingdom three years before the date of your application;
and have not spent more than 270 days outside the United Kingdom during the three-year period;
and have not spend more than 90 days outside the United Kingdom in the last 12 months of the three-year period;
and have not been in breach of the

YES you can.
I was more eager to get back to the Phils for the Christmas holiday than my wife was....which must have involved plenty of because 9 months later our lovely boy was born.
