    I can report on a scam story I remember from the 1970 world cup.
    It was reported the great Bobby Moore was stealing a necklace in Mexico and Bobby Charlton was shielding him
    The papers talked even more ..... in those days

    Yes, I know. I've seen lots of highlights since, but sadly I never saw an England team live at a world cup (well on TV) until 1982

    The theme tune was great and we used to collect 'World cup medal coins' at Texaco garages
