Thanks
Just to say that my wife received her Spouse visa by courier today, 15 days after she lodged her application.
It is dated 14th September which is the date we specified in our application.
I want to thank the forum, past and present as it has been such a fantastic source of information for us.
Just one thing....why we didnt get an email saying the visa had been dispatched I do not know, we just got one saying the application had been dispatched.....

Thanks guys and girls.
Such a great forum. I wish I had stumbled across it sooner as I joined it quite late in our progression, after our marriage in June.

No. I didnt submit a P60 but I submitted 7 consecutive payslips. And the payslip for March 2011 had my total income and total tax for the year on it - same figures that are on a P60. I also submitted a letter from my employer to say I was employed with them full time.

To be honest, victoria I am still not certain about that side of the application. I found the income and expenditure part quite difficult to understand and was the source of nagging doubt after my wife submitted the application.
What we did do was submit 6 months of bank statements and at no time was I overdrawn. I had some savings which I also submitted as part of the application.
Sorry I cant help you on that question too readily. Terpe posted a good one on that topic a few days ago but the whole thing is quite complicated.

... Congratulations, BOTH ...
... that's good timing! I remember MY wife received hers a mere 3 days after I'd returned home - too late, unfortunately, for her to travel WITH me.
It's OUR pleasure ... that's what we're here for! We hope you'll remain in touch.
... one of life's mysteries, I guess!

As long as the money is in his account and not going anywhere, that should meet the ECO's decision. If nothing is in the bank, nor anything that could show that he can support your stay here without recourse to public funds. He can submit a form of file that shows his expenditure and income which should have enough funds remaining (106 pounds/weekly) to support you.
In short, visa settlement application is like digging every detail (financial and personal) about the sponsor and applicant. The best you and your fiance can do is prepare the necessary documents that the ECO needs to look into.Life as we make it

I have been asked to share my experience with the forum. Here goes Aiden....
1] Met a filipina in March and got married to her in June. made two trips to see her in Phils, one in April and one in June. Kept receipts and took photos of us and her family.
2] Took local CNI to embassy in June and exchanged for local CNI. Married on June 14th with contract on 24th June.
3] Joined forum late, in July
4] Wife took TOEIC English test in Manila in July and passed the minimum A1 requirement.
5] Received Marriage Certificate in late July.
6] Compiled paperwork for Spouse Visa and wife visited CFO for her seminar requirement.
8] Submitted Visa application through VIP Lounge option on 2nd September.
9] Spouse visa arrived by courier to my wife on 15th September.
Observations...some of the things that we did and didnt submit...rough summery:
a] Only submitted ordinary photocopy of my passport but submitted my original copy of my bith certificate.
b] Didnt submit P60 but did submit 7 months payslips and 6 months bank statements plus letter from employer.
c] Submitted a lot of receipts for various costs in Phils....wedding cake...wedding ceremony. wedding reception receipts..internal flights aswell as flights to and from Phils.....hotel receipts etc etc and moneygram receipts
d] Samples of emails, Yahoo Messenger (one per week) and Skype logs and 1 recent itemised phone log / bill
e] 46 photos of myself and wife together with and without her friends and relatives spanning two visits to Phils
f] A 2 page summary of our time together, places we visited etc.
g] Landlord Letter and tenancy agreement
h] Things we didnt submit included my cv, my degree certificate, her degree certificate, notarised copy of my passport.
