English Language Test Centres for UK Spouse Visa

My Finance took the English language test before the new rules came into effect in July 2011, I do not see the test centre (Study Connect International, Makati) on the revised list so I am guessing she will have to retake the test over again. Last time she was living Manila so that was relatively easy, now she in living in Cauayan, Isabela so I don't know where the nearest approved test centre is.

    Can someone help,
    Many thanks
    Rob & Novi.

Another question I have is that the English lanaguge test talks about different levels for Tiers 1, 2, 3, 4?. For a Spuse Visa what Tier is that and what level do we need to complete the test at A1 B1 etc?

    I'm a bit confused.

    thanks,
    Rob & Novi

    Hello!
I am Nivea Filipina married to my SUPER loving handsome British husband Bruce..
We are also applying for spouse visa and completing requirements like English test.
I am going to take IELTS exam in British council. I suggest IELTS because British Council site offers so it won’t be another scamming school!
You can read how to register with IELTS, where to pay, etc on this site: http://www.britishcouncil.org/philip...-for-ielts.htm
Also you mentioned she is from Cauayan,Isabela City it is near Cagayan City or Baguio City http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cauayan,_Isabela ,
I mentioned that because IELTS has test dates and Locations at Cagayan City and Baguio City, here is the link: http://www.britishcouncil.org/philip...hilippines.htm
Beautiful spouses like us Filipina wives applying for spouse visa only needs A1 level so no need to worry much!
And if u decide to take IELTS exam CHOOSE THE GENERAL exam,NOT THE ACADEMIC EXAM( academic exam is for student who are applying for student visa and for those who are applying for working visa going to English speaking countries)
Also please read other posts lots of it here, it will be helpful for both of you to decide where to take English exam with.
GOODLUCK TO US ALL HERE!!! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!

    Hello Nivea and Bruce,
Many thanks for the very informative answer. Novi has to visit Manaila to see some friends so is trying to book a test at the Hopkins International scholl in Makati. They do TOEIC English Language tests at the A1 Level. Novi thinks this will be easier than the ILETS test, which her friend told her was quite hard and needed revision before test. If we can get a test booked at the Hopkins School we will let everyone knows how it goes.
