Being a builder......You will need a modernized out rigger to be used as a ferry to bring all the building products and food supplies over to our island.....Our ferry could be used on snorkeling and dive adventures......As so it woud be great for our fishing trips.....

It seems that we will need to find another paradise. The owners of the nearby Dos Palmas resort island have apparently bought Starfish Island (pending the final payments). They are the Lim family and are related to Mayor Lim of Manila and one of Puerto Princesa`s most influential families. Actually they are a nice bunch, their kids come down to the local sailing club (ex pats watering hole) for lessons and the old man used to enjoy playing dominioes with my dad !!!!. HEY HO need to find another island.

indeed Graham, the saying the that rich get richer and the poor get poorer is perfect for the Phils. In Mr Lims (the Puerto one) he is very philanthropic, supports many good causes on Palawan and if you saw him he looks like the caretaker or the driver not the boss. Down to earth guy who enjoys making turned wood products in his workshop at his hacienda. I think the family hide him away on Palawan LOL cos he is bit of a hippy hehehehehe complete with Pony tail

Dos Palmas Island Resort & Spa is a luxury upmarket facility.
Personally I'm not surprised the very close 'neighbours' have taken action to maintain their exclusivity.
Especially as they may have caught wind of the desires from a bunch of Brits.

it is and I will follow the various property sites in the Phils I know to see if another opportunity presents itself. It stands to reason that if have one pool , one tennis court, one well, one generator/ one solar array etc between 10 homes it will be cheaper, one set of architects, builders, materials, planning/rating bribes to pay (lol). Now getting 10 couples to get on ...ther is another challenge. any UN negotiators in the forum hehehehehe
