MP Damian Green: 'There is no amnesty' on asylum seekers

The Home Affairs Committee said that out of more than 400,000 cases dealt with by the UK Border Agency, 161,000 were allowed to stay.
38,000 were deported and 71,000 have vanished

That prompted me to write to him again asking why my ex wife is being allowd to stay here despite the UKBA telling me they were cancelling her visa in February this year

maybe your ex Mick is one of the 71,000 that have just vanished
deported 38,000 and 71,000 have gone AWOL
