Question spouse visa application within uk

    Hi Everyone here,
i'm just a newbie here but know this forum for months.
just want to ask how long does it takes to apply for spouse visa?

I'm here now in Uk as student but now married last sept 2010 to an english and my visa ends this 31st March and we're going to apply for spouse visa.

I'm working as a care assistant and my husband just got a permanent job this month, but we have at least £2-3k savings on the bank. And I'm 6 months pregnant now. Is it worth to get a solicitor than doing the application ourselves?
Does anybody here with approved spouse visa applied within UK..coz all of the thread i read here applied from the Phils.

    thanks!!!

you cant get a spouse visa from the uk, you need to apply for FLR(m) from the uk instead,,

probably take 4 to 8wks to process visa app

when did you come to the uk as a student and what country did you marry in ?

Hello. I just got my spouse visa last March 2011. I would suggest for you to do it straightforward as long as you have completed all the required documents. Here are some expenses that i spent:
    Straightforward application: £800
English Test: (Speaking & Listening): £150
    that's pretty much it.
Just make sure you download the most updated FLR (M) version from UKBA website. Having a solicitor will just cost you a lot. And besides, if you do the straightforward application, you will get the result in the same day Goodluck
