Can Manny Pacquiao Really Do It ??
Don't know if there are any boxing fans here on the forum.
But if you didn't already know Manny Pacquiao fights again on November 13 against Antonio Margarito for the World Superwelterweight title.
In my own opinion there's not any boxer at any weight this decade that's been as consistently great as Manny Pacquiao. I could put Floyd Mayweather up there somewhere if only he'd have fought more often.
Manny Pacquiao, the seven division champion and pound for pound bestever, remains my favourite to win (not only for sentimental reasons).
But I wonder if this will be his final performance in the ring, now that he seems to have politics (and other things ) on his mind.
Pacquiao 5f-7ins and around 146 pounds
Margarito 5ft-11ins and around 163 pounds.
Can Pacquiao earn his 13th straight win ?

I still have my faith for Pacquiao, I think that is how he wins.. imagine 90 million filipino people putting all their faith and praying for Pacquaio, not counting his mommy who prays harder and would almost and always collapse with anticipation during her son's fight.
Seriously, I give it 75 win-25 loseLife as we make it

Thinking the same an undoubted special talent but I think many of us have seen a Sports person who even if the supreme talent in their field who for one reason or another takes their eye of the ball. Plus the pressure you mention Purple must be immense and probably the longer he lives the more he will realise how much it meant to so many which can affect people in many ways good and bad.
I cant see this being his last fight somehow he is such a cash cow for all the hangers on and im pretty sure he has discovered all his long lost cousins With few other big names in boxing around at the moment can the sport afford to lose him?
Plus can Phill cope without him?
I have heard many times the last fight, match or game is a dangrous one lets hope its not for Mr POh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops

I thought it was on the 14th??
Cant see margarito beating Manny..He`s too slow..He has a big right hand that knocked cotto out with blood everywhere but dont forget that he was banned for the foreign object found in his glove after that fight..
The man is a dirty cheat and I hope Manny really punishes him with those lightening hands..
Dont think he`ll retire till he gives Mayweather at least ONE MORE chance to sign the highest paid boxing contract of all time..50/60 million for each fighter..
BTW..Dont forget the David haye and Audley Harrison fight!!..Really on the 13th!!

fred, it will be the 14th in the Phils
The David Haye and Audley Harrison fight is Sky Box office being shown live at 8pm
If I'm at home I probably will fork out the £15 to watch.
Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito is being shown for free on Sky Sports 1 at
11.45pm. I will be watching live.
Well unless they have the usual 1 hour pre-fight banter followed by a 2 hour undercard
programme........then I will be recording it

I'm excited and scared for this fight. Pacman HAS IT but this Margarito doesn't look fair to me. It would be a shame to loose this time for such a guy. But win or lose Pacman's coming home a hero still

Pacman has only got better in recent fights, and has been or trying to be involved in politics for some time now, for the sake of boxing he has to win and get it on with Mayweather, that would possibly be the biggest pay per view event ever. fingers crossed it could happen one day,

tomboo. I do agree.
I have been a big fan of Pacman for a long long time. Very smart and clever boxer.
(usually)
I just can't figure out why it's so difficult (so far) to fix up a fight with Mayweather?
It would for sure be the biggest fight ever. Potentially the best but......
I just doubt either of them has the 'real' sporting motivation.

Both stand to potentially lose too much financially, and of course for Mayweather its his unbeaten reputation. I just looked back over Pacmans history, he has beaten some of the very best, for me he has least to lose as hes not unbeaten. theres talk now of amir khan v mayweather. thats a fight i wouldnt want to see for a couple of years, khan needs to take his time

It seems not everyone in the Philippines was watching the big fight.
Usually the crime rate is about zero.
All military actions get paused.
However, one group decided to grasp the opportunity and take advantage of the extreme low traffic

Pacman mania swept south cotabato today, the streets were empty, tanduay and san-mig were consumed by the gallon, but the bad news was sabong was cancelled joyous euphoria from everyone except me who was on a bit of a downer
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

There were some accusations levelled at Margarito by Roach.. Seems someone saw a bottle of stimulants in his locker room before the fight.. The post fight urinalysis will tell the tale.. Margaritos camp requested That Pacmans hands were re rapped but dont think this happened as everything was approved by the boxing council..
Margarito..Brave guy but just too slow as I predicted above. Excellent fight though.

Figures show the Pacquiao fight stands to be the most-watched ever in boxing history: as many as 1.5 million PPV hits.
With each buy costing $54.95, Pacquiao-Margarito PPV hits of 1.5-million translate to $82 million.
From total PPV sales, Pacquiao stands to get about 12.5 percent of the projected $82-million amount, or $10 million. This is on top of his guaranteed purse of $15 million for the fight that earned him an unprecedented eight world title in as many weight classes.

Of course that does not include any takings from his post-fight concert
